Work Experience
Software Engineering Intern, Garmin, Ltd.May 2026 – Aug 2026
- Executed and updated 30+ DO-178C requirements-based tests on hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) benches for an aviation sensor’s embedded software, validating procedures against evolving requirements ahead of certification credit runs.
- Identified defects in requirements and software, including missing and incorrect requirements and code out of compliance with requirements, and reported them for resolution.
- Wrote a Python automation script to run batches of HIL tests unattended overnight and auto-archive results, and helped migrate the test framework from Python 2.7 to 3.12.
- Designed DO-178C-compliant software/hardware unit tests derived from software requirements (SWRD), maintaining requirements traceability using Git and Jira.
- Diagnosed and fixed an internal hardware-programming tool that failed to upload certain memory regions, and added diagnostic logging to speed up future root-cause analysis.
Software Engineering Intern, Cisco Systems, Inc.May 2025 – Aug 2025
- Built a unified Oracle APEX dashboard for Fusion Middleware monitoring, consolidating multiple tools into one interface for DBAs and subject-matter experts to diagnose server issues across environments.
- Wrote PL/SQL queries to extract key monitoring data and a REST API that refreshed a cached table, speeding up dashboard lookups by 500%.
- Integrated the Duo security API for authentication and Cisco BridgeIT AI to automatically analyze thread dumps, reducing manual back-and-forth with application teams.
- Delivered features in weekly Agile sprints, contributing to sprint planning, code reviews, and cross-functional discussions.
Computer Science Teaching Assistant, University of MinnesotaAug 2024 – Present
- Lead weekly discussions for 50+ students in Discrete Structures, Linear Algebra, Computer Architecture, and ML; coordinate grading and exam proctoring of 140+ students with a team of 7 TAs.
Leadership Experience
University of Minnesota Rocket TeamMay 2024 – Present
GNC Lead (2026–Present); Communications & Purchasing Manager (2024–2026)
- Lead an 8-member GNC subteam developing an active roll-control system using model-based design in Simulink, with dual actuated tabs and sensor-fusion velocity estimation.
- Coordinated procurement of flight-critical components for 7 subteams with suppliers and university staff, and led a Kanban team producing weekly outreach and recruitment materials.
Project Experience
Custom Universal Flight Computer - C/C++, STM32, I2C, SPI, UART, Embedded SystemsFall 2023 – Present
- Designed and tested drivers in C/C++ for IMUs, magnetometers, gyroscopes, and accelerometers over SPI, I2C, UART, and CAN on STM32 microcontrollers.
- Built automated unit/system tests and integrated final hardware for the IREC competition 30,000 ft launch.
- Developed firmware for sensor data acquisition, calibration, and wireless telemetry via LoRa and RFD.
